He practises in Chiomenti’s Tax Department, based in Milan. He advises Italian and international clients on tax matters relating to family wealth, trusts, succession planning, cross-border estate planning and international taxation. His practice focuses on high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurial families, family offices and investment professionals, with particular experience in wealth structuring, relocation planning, special tax regimes for inbound individuals, and trust and estate planning.
Lorenzo regularly works on cross-border private client matters involving foreign trustees, private banks, family offices and international advisers, including in situations where changes of residence, family governance arrangements, marital planning and succession planning require coordination between Italian tax rules and broader private wealth considerations. DESCRIPTION

The session will explore the issues that arise in cross-border relationships and changes of residence between Switzerland and Italy, involving both nationals and non-nationals of the two countries. The intention of this session is to examine the private international law aspects of marriage (and similar relationships) and succession planning, as well as the effectiveness of guardianship arrangements for children and powers of attorney in cases of incapacity, also with a view at addressing the tax consequences that often arise in practice from those choices
